The Blindness of the Woods.

Winter is hard in Kiruna woods. The trees complain. The squirrels don’t play. The birds don’t sing. And the loneliness makes the cold feel even worse. The sun hides behind the clouds, thinking the low light will bother me… but for me darkness is permanent.

It is said that in these woods, people die from cold but I believe that it’s loneliness that kills them.

My blindness will never stop me from what I always wanted to do… to love.
“Oh thank you! Thank you for returning my man from the woods. I love you.”

I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.

When I woke up this morning,
I saw you smile, that smile, and I knew that
I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you

The Butterfly Effect (2004) by Erick Bress & J. Mackye Gruber

As much as I love you.

Evan: So, do you think it might have worked?
Kayleigh: Yeah... But that's not how things wound up... I'm with Lenny, Lenny is your friend... and that's where it ends.
Evan:
Well... Would it make a difference if I told you that no one could possibly ever love anyone as much as I love you? ...I'm not saying that, I am just saying it like if you were a girl, would that be something you would want to hear?

The Butterfly Effect (2004) by Erick Bress & J. Mackye Gruber

Nothing ever gets better.

Evan: When we were kids, your dad was making a movie about "Robin Hood" or something...
Kayleigh Miller: What do you want to know, Evan?
Evan: Is... Did he... What happened in the basement?
Kayleigh Miller: Look, it was a long time ago. Is that why you came all the way back here? To ask a lot of stupid questions about "Robin Hood"?
Evan: No, I... I just think something really bad might of happened.
Kayleigh Miller: Is there a point to any of this?
Evan:
Look... what ever happened, it wasn't our fault, we were kids. I mean, there is nothing that we could do to of deserved or could of done...
Kayleigh Miller: Just shut up, Evan, you're wasting your breath.
Evan:
You can't hate yourself because you're dads a twisted freak.
Kayleigh Miller: Who are you trying to convince, Evan?
You come all the way back here to stir up my shit just because you have a bad memory? What? Do you want me to just cry on your shoulder and tell you everything's all better now? Well fuck you, Evan. Nothing's all better, okay? Nothing ever gets better. You know, if I was so wonderful Evan, why didn't you call me? Why did you just leave me here to rot?

The Butterfly Effect (2004) by Erick Bress & J. Mackye Gruber

I'm not gonna lose you again.

I've already lost you once, I'm not gonna lose you again.

The Butterfly Effect (2004) by Erick Bress & J. Mackye Gruber

Don't ever touch me again!

Evan at 7: What time is it?
Mr. George Miller: It's time for you to do what I tell you to do...
Evan at 7: Wrong answer fuck bag. This is the very moment of your reckoning. In the next 30 seconds you're gonna open 1 of 2 doors.
The first door will forever traumatize your own flesh and blood.
Mr. George Miller: What's happening, how are you doing this?
Evan at 7:
It'll change your daughter from a beautiful child into an empty shell whose only concept of trust was betrayed by her own sick pedophile father. Ultimately... it'll lead to her suicide. Nice work, Daddy.
Mr. George Miller: Who are you?
Evan at 7: Let's just say you're being closely watched, George. Your other option is... to treat Kayleigh like, say like a loving father treats his daughter. Sound okay to you, Papa?
Mr. George Miller: Yes.
Evan at 7: Listen close then fuckbag. You screw this up again - I'll flat-out castrate you. What you need to do, is discipline your son Tommy cause the kid is one sadistic pup. One last thing...
Kayleigh at 7:
Don't ever touch me again!
Mr. George Miller: I won't.

The Butterfly Effect (2004) by Erick Bress & J. Mackye Gruber

You were happy once... with me.

Evan: I just thought that you should know.
Kayleigh Miller: Know what?
Evan:
That you were happy once... with me.
Kayleigh Miller: You know there's one major hole in your story, there is no fucking way on this planet, nor any other I would ever be in some fucking sorority.
Evan: You were happy there...

This is a poncho!

Sheldon: Mom, what are you doing here?

Mary: Leonard called me.

Sheldon: I know, but why?

Leonard: Because one of the great minds of the twenty-first century is raising glow-in-the-dark fish and weaving serapes.

Sheldon: This is not a serape, this is a poncho. A serape is open at the sides; a poncho is closed. This is a poncho. …And neither is a reason to call someone’s mother.

I was wrong about many things.

I thought Tristan would never live to be an old man.

I was wrong about that.
I was wrong about many things.

It was those who loved him most who died young.

He was a rock they broke themselves against however much he tried to protect them.

Legends of the Fall (1994) by Edward Zwick

Even though he's abandoned her and you.

Alfred: I don't know what to say. Tristan's always been wild. You love him for that.
Susannah: Do I? Yeah, I suppose I do.
Alfred:
Susannah, he does love you.
Colonel Ludlow: Alfred! She's to be your brother's wife.
Alfred: Yes, though you might better remind him of that.
Colonel Ludlow: He's not here to defend himself.
Alfred: No, he's not but I see you are here to defend him and what is his.
Even though he's abandoned her and you. And I won't even speak of who else he abandoned.
Colonel Ludlow: Damn you, boy. Don't you blame my son for Samuel's death! Samuel chose to be a soldier and soldiers die. Sent to be slaughtered by the men in the government. Parasites like you! Damn and blast you!
[turns to Susannah]
Colonel Ludlow: Damn you too!
Alfred: Shut your mouth!
You leave her out of this!
Colonel Ludlow: You get out of my house and off my land.
Alfred: Why? Because I want to serve my country like you did?
Or because, like you, I love a woman who doesn't love me? He used her and he deserted her. Your darling Tristan.
Susannah: Alfred, don't, please.
Alfred:
I loved her! I love her still. And he stole her from me. If you want to know the truth of it he stole her from Samuel before the war.
Colonel Ludlow: God help me, I'll kill you.

Legends of the Fall (1994) by Edward Zwick

You say that again and we're not brothers

Alfred: When are you planning to be married?
Tristan: Morning.
Alfred: Damn you, Tristan.
You will marry her.
Tristan:
And make a honest woman out of her?
Alfred: Yes! God damn you to hell.
Tristan: Yes,
I will marry her if she'll have me.
Alfred: If she'll have you? Do you love her? Or did you seduce her just to spite me?
Tristan: It's not what I did.
Alfred: And what about Samuel?
Tristan: What about Samuel?
Alfred: You tell me about Samuel.
Tristan: We all loved Samuel. Samuel's dead. What?
Alfred: How convenient that is for you.
Tristan:
Because you love her I will forgive you for that. Once! You say that again and we're not brothers.

Legends of the Fall (1994) by Edward Zwick

They all loved you more.

I followed all of the rules, man's and God's. And you, you followed none of them. And they all loved you more. Samuel, Father, and my... even my own wife.

Legends of the Fall (1994) by Edward Zwick

I recommend fucking.

Tristan: Samuel, God bless you. You are good at everything you try to do. I'm sure it'll be the same with fucking.
Samuel: Tristan, really. We're talking about my future wife.
Tristan: Oh, you're not gonna fuck her?
Samuel: No!
Tristan: No?
Samuel: No! I'm planning to be with her.
Tristan: I recommend fucking.

Legends of the Fall (1994) by Edward Zwick

They become legends.

Some people hear their own inner voices with great clearness and they live by what they hear. Such people become crazy, or they become legends.
