You can't even trust yourself.

Leslie: Sometimes your rhythm's off, you read the person right but still do the wrong thing.
Elizabeth: Because you trust them?
Leslie: Because you can't even trust yourself.

No matter what. Ever,

Ex-girlfriend: Whatever happens in the end,
I don't wanna lose you as my friend.
Jack: I promise, I will never be your friend
No matter what. Ever.

So she kills herself.

That idea of home is gone.

Andrew: You know that point in your life when you realize the house you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of a sudden even though you have some place where you put your shit, that idea of home is gone.

Sam: I still feel at home in my house.

Andrew: You'll see one day when you move out it just sort of happens one day and it's gone.
You feel like you can never get it back. It's like you feel homesick for a place that doesn't even exist.

Maybe it's like this rite of passage, you know. You won't ever have this feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know, for your kids, for the family you start, it's like a cycle or something. I don't know, but I miss the idea of it, you know. Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people that miss the same imaginary place.

We need each other...

Sam: You don't realize, this is good, this doesn't happen often in your life. We can work this stuff out. I want to help you, you know? We need each other...

Andrew: This isn't a conversation about this being over, it's, it's... I'm not, like, putting a period at the end of this, you know, I'm putting, like, an ellipsis on it, cause I'm- I'm- I'm worried that if I don't figure myself out, if I don't go like land on my own two feet, then I'm just gonna to mess this whole thing up, and this is too important. I gotta go... you changed my life in four days. This is the beginning of something really big. But right now, I gotta go.

Live a little.

Thomas: Please. I thought it'd be good to talk about the role. Drown this a little. I don't want there to be any boundaries between us.

Nina: No, me neither.

Thomas: Good. So... You got a boyfriend?

Nina: No.

Thomas: Have you had many in the past?

Nina: A few. But no one serious.

Thomas: You're not a virgin are you?

Nina: No.

Thomas: So there's nothing to be embarrassed about. And you enjoy making love?

Nina: Excuse me?

Thomas: Come on, sex. Do you enjoy it? We need to be able to talk about this... I've got a little homework assignment for you. Go home and touch yourself. Live a little.

Stop being so fucking weak!

Nina: You have any corrections?
Thomas: Lily told me that she saw you crying. That you were very upset and that I should take it easy on you.
Nina: I didn't tell her that.
Thomas: Maybe you need a little break. A day or two. Or maybe a month. What do you think?
Nina: She shouldn't have said anything.
Thomas: No, you shouldn't be whining in the first place.
Nina: I didn't.
Thomas: You could be brilliant. But you're a coward.
Nina: Sorry.
Thomas: No, stop saying that! That's exactly what I'm talking about. Stop being so fucking weak. Again!

That was me seducing you...

Okay. Come here. Come, come, come, come. I'll be the Prince. Let it go. Let it go. Feel my touch. Respond to it. Come on. Open your mouth. Open it. Open up.
That was me seducing you, when it needs to be the other way around.

But also so damned destructive

Nina: What happened?
Thomas: She walked into the street and got hit by a car. You know what? I'm almost sure she did it on purpose.
Nina: How do you know?

Thomas: Because everything Beth does comes from within, from some dark impulse. I guess that's what makes her so thrilling to watch. So dangerous. Even perfect at times. But also so damned destructive.

Nina: Was it right after we saw her?
Thomas: Wait, wait, wait. This has nothing to do with you. It's not your problem, so don't let yourself be distracted. This is your moment, Nina. Don't let it go.

Hesher Trailer

Hesher is a loner. He hates the world and everyone in it. He has long greasy hair and homemade tattoos. He is malnourished and smokes a lot of cigarettes. He likes fire and blowing things up. He lives in his van, until he meets TJ.

The art of being a woman.

Now go to France. The queen of France is sophisticated. Be useful to her, amuse her. She'll admire your spirit. Learn from her. Observe the ladies of the court. See how they achieve what they want from their men, not by stamping their little feet but by allowing the men to believe that they, indeed, are in charge. That is the art of being a woman.

Don't know what you said or did!

Mary Boleyn: Mother, please! Speak to father... Do something... I don't want to go!
Lady Elizabeth: This is not a request. We have been summoned.

Mary Boleyn: Please don't be angry with me... You think I desired to go for this purpose?
Anne Boleyn: All I know is that a man who didn't know who you were was with you in that room for a half-hour and came out besotted! Don't know what you said or did!
Mary Boleyn: Nothing sister! Except sing your praises and talk about my husband.
Anne Boleyn: Really? Well, you must show me how you did that sometime!

I think I can do this.

Sam: What are you doing?

Andrew: Remember that idea I had, about working stuff out on my own, and then finding you once I worked stuff out?

Sam: The ellipsis?

Andrew: Yeah, the ellipsis, it's dumb. It's dumb. It's an awful idea. I'm not gonna do it, okay? Cause like you said, this is it. This is life. And I'm in love with you... I think that's the only thing I've ever really been sure of in my entire life. And I'm really messed up right now, and I got a whole lot of stuff I have to work out, but I don't want to waste any more of my life without you in it. And I think I can do this. I mean, I want to. I have to, right?

Sam: Yeah. Yes!

Andrew: So what do we do? What do we do?...

Well perhaps you should stop.

Mary Boleyn: Anne.
Anne Boleyn: I meant to come sooner. I'm sorry I did not. I've been kept occupied.
Mary Boleyn: So I hear: amusing the king.
Anne Boleyn: Only that sister, I assure you; despite his best efforts...
Mary Boleyn: What, and not yours?
Anne Boleyn: How is it?
Mary Boleyn: The child is strong, gives me no rest, like his father.
Anne Boleyn: Do you feel as awful as you look? You know, in France, no woman would allow herself to get in such a state.
Mary Boleyn: Why did you come Anne, if all you desire is to torment me?
Anne Boleyn: Perhaps now you know how it feels: to be deceived by your sister.
Mary Boleyn: I did nothing.
Anne Boleyn: You stole the king away, and then you betrayed me over Henry Percy!
Mary Boleyn: If that's what you think fine tell yourself that!
Anne Boleyn: I did sister, every day and every night I was in exile.

King's Messenger: A gift, from the king.
Anne Boleyn: Give it to my sister.
King's Messenger: It's for you mistress Anne.
Anne Boleyn: Me? Then send it back! Immediately!
Anne Boleyn: How dare he! See? I have your interest at heart.
Mary Boleyn: Why? Why this cruelty? You know I love him.
Anne Boleyn: Well perhaps you should stop.
